Opening Dinner for Emalin’s show, ‘Rebel Without a Cock’ by Kembra Pfahler. Emalin is a gallery for international contemporary art in Shoreditch, London. A leading figure in New York’s performance art scene in the 1980’s and 90’s, Kembra Pfahler is the co-creator and lead of the burlesque freak-show-punk-rock band, ‘The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black’. Imogen’s menu was inspired by Kembra’s current show and overall body of work.
As a food stylist assistant, Imogen has worked on a wide range of jobs, from cookbooks and magazines to commercials, television shows and stop motion videos. Her personal cooking aesthetic is guided by the natural beauty of the ingredients’ shape to convey movement and a feeling of sponteneity.
